The TPE Community Forum is a free, public discussion space where photographers can learn from one another, ask questions about The Photographer’s Ephemeris, and share their experience planning photographs.
Forum discussions include:
- Questions and tips for TPE Web and TPE for iOS
- Solar and lunar eclipses
- Weather and photography planning
- Travel, locations, and upcoming shoots
- Product suggestions and feedback
- Announcements about new and developing TPE features
You can browse existing discussions to see how other photographers use TPE, find answers to common questions, or discover new approaches to planning a photograph. The forum currently includes dedicated areas for TPE Web, TPE for iOS, solar eclipses, travel and locations, and weather-related planning.
Anyone can read the forum. To ask a question, reply to a discussion, or share your own experience, you’ll need to create a free forum account.
How to open the TPE Community Forum
You can visit the TPE Community Forum directly.
You can also open it from TPE Web:
- Open the Help panel.
- Select Forum at the bottom of the panel, beside Contact Support.
How to create a TPE Community Forum account
Select Sign Up on the forum and follow the instructions to create a free account. No invitation or invite code is required.
Your forum account is separate from the account you use for TPE. Your existing TPE username and password will not automatically give you access to the forum; you must register for the forum separately.
When signing up, we recommend using the same email address that you use for TPE. This allows us to identify you as a registered TPE user or subscriber and, where applicable, grant you access to areas of the forum reserved for those users.
Although you may use the same email address or username for both accounts, please create a different password for the forum. We advise against reusing your TPE password – or any password you already use for another account.
That’s it – once you’re registered, you’ll be able to participate in the forum.* We look forward to seeing you there!
* In rare cases, your account may require administrator approval if unusual traffic patterns are associated with your access or connection.
When to use the forum for TPE questions and planning
The forum is a good place for general questions, photography-planning ideas, product feedback, and discussions that may also help other TPE users.
For billing, purchases, account access, or anything that requires sharing private information, please use contact support instead.
The forum is public, and its discussions may appear in search-engine results. Please do not post payment information, account credentials, or other private details.
