Sometimes it’s necessary to clear cached or stored site data and cookies to resolve a problem with websites. Very often you’ll hear site operators tell you to clear your cache. While that’s all very well for them, it’s a rather scorched-earth approach for you, the user.
If you clear your entire cache, it will affect every website you use. For example, you’ll need to sign back into every site afresh and will lose any locally saved data, such as settings or preferences.

Instead, it’s better to just clear the sites you need. This article shows how to do that for The Photographer’s Ephemeris Web – you just need to know which domains to clear. The exact method varies by browser, so here are examples for several popular ones.
Of course, if you’re happy to, you can always just clear everything and be done with it. But I suspect many of you would prefer a more targeted solution!
