The Photographer’s Ephemeris Web is available at four levels of access: Free, Supporter, PRO and MAX. You can use the core planning tools free of charge or choose a paid subscription for access to additional features.
This article provides an overview of the available tiers and explains how to subscribe.
Before you subscribe
You will need a TPE Web account before you can purchase a subscription.
Your subscription is connected to the account you use during checkout, so make sure you are signed in with the email address you intend to use for TPE Web.

Choose a TPE Web subscription plan
TPE Web offers four levels of access:
- Free – The Free level includes the core tools you need to begin using TPE Web and planning your outdoor photography.
- Supporter – A simple way to support continued development of The Photographer’s Ephemeris, with a few useful extras included as our thanks.
- PRO – Advanced Sun, Moon, Milky Way, terrain, map, and weather planning for photographers who need more precision and flexibility.
- MAX – For the toughest planning challenges: precision alignment, target visibility, advanced terrain analysis, DSO planning, and specialist eclipse tools.
Select the UPGRADE badge in TPE Web to view the current comparison of Free, Supporter, PRO and MAX. The subscription screen shows which features and limits are included with each level so you can choose the option that best meets your needs.

TPE Web is used by photographers around the world, so the price shown may vary depending on factors such as your currency, billing location, and applicable taxes. For this reason, subscription prices are displayed within TPE Web rather than listed on the TPE website or in this Help Centre.
To view the current prices available to you:
- Open TPE Web.
- Sign in to your account.
- Select UPGRADE.
- Review the available tiers, billing periods, and prices.
You do not need to complete a purchase to view the available prices. Before confirming your subscription, you will be able to review the amount due and the applicable renewal price.
Monthly and annual subscriptions
Monthly and annual billing options may be available, depending on the subscription tier you select.
The subscription screen shows the billing periods available for each tier and their current prices.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically according to the billing period and terms displayed during checkout unless you cancel them.
How to subscribe to TPE Web
Once you are signed in, you can compare the available tiers and complete your subscription purchase directly within TPE Web.
- Open TPE Web and sign in to your account.
- Select UPGRADE in the lower-left corner.
- Compare the Free, Supporter, PRO and MAX access levels.
- Choose a paid subscription tier.
- Select your preferred billing period, where applicable.
- Continue to checkout.
- Enter your billing and payment information.
- Review the amount due, renewal price, and subscription terms.
- Confirm your purchase.
Your order and payment will be processed by Paddle, our authorised online reseller and Merchant of Record. Once your payment has been processed, the appropriate features will be enabled for your TPE Web account and the corresponding badge will display beside your name.
TPE Web runs in your web browser, so there is nothing additional to download or install.
Using a discount code
If you have received a TPE Web discount code, you can apply it during the subscription or checkout process.

Manage an existing subscription
Once you have subscribed, you can manage your subscription and billing information from your TPE Web account.
